The Global Citizenship Program is now accepting applications! Through interdisciplinary study, community service, and international travel and connections, students grow their global awareness, appreciation for diversity, and ability to contribute in an increasingly interconnected world. Last month, Mrs. O’Neill’s 2nd grade class at East read with their little buddies in Mrs. Day’s kindergarten class during "Dress up as your favorite book character" for Read Across America Week. Amazing job to our 2nd graders for serving as role models for our youngest readers! 🎉

Students and staff at Hingham Middle School tipped off last week in the first-ever Staff vs. Students Unified Basketball Game! 🏀 Unified Basketball is an inclusive sport that brings together neurodiverse and neurotypical students to play and grow through teamwork and fun. Exploring History & Community at Hingham Public Library! 📚 On Thursday, Ms. O'Connor’s 11th grade U.S. History students took a field trip to the Hingham Public Library, where they explored the many resources available to them. In collaboration with HPL librarians Michael Achille and Meghan McCusker, students engaged in a hands-on program designed to strengthen their research skills and deepen their appreciation for the role of public libraries. By the end of the trip, students walked away with new library cards, a stronger understanding of research methods, and a greater appreciation for the vital role libraries play in our communities. Foster School's 5th-grade Student Council recently crafted kindness lanterns during their meeting in preparation for next week's schoolwide Kindness Week. These lanterns are now displayed throughout the building, encouraging students to spread kindness in meaningful ways.
