Last week, all 11th grade U.S. History students attended the second annual "Historic Hingham" field trip. Thanks to invaluable community partnerships with the Hingham Historical Society and the Friends of Old Ship Meeting House, our juniors experienced American history through the lens of their hometown by visiting Old Ship, the Benjamin Lincoln House, and the Hingham Heritage Museum. Thank you to our engaged students, our dedicated teachers, and our generous community members for making this trip a success!

While students had their first half day of the school year, our teachers participated in professional development led by Dr. Jessica Minahan, co-author of The Behavior Code.
Dr. Minahan’s presentation focused on strategies for supporting students with anxiety, oppositional behavior, and executive functioning challenges. The approach outlined in The Behavior Code offers a systematic way to identify the causes of these behaviors and apply proven techniques to help students succeed.
Educators left with practical, research-based strategies they can use to transform the classroom experience for students facing behavioral and emotional challenges.

All Hingham Public Schools will have an Early Release on Wed. September 18, 2024, for professional development.
⏰Early Release Times:
East - 12:00 PM
