Yesterday, East, South, and Hingham Middle School students participated in mock elections, experiencing the voting process firsthand. 🇺🇸
Students from 3rd, 5th, and 8th grades operated replica voting stations, learning about democracy, civic responsibility, and the election process. Real-world experiences like these help students to become active, informed citizens in their communities and beyond.

Hingham Middle School went all out for Pink Day! 🎀 Every October, the HMS Ambassador Club hosts their annual ‘Pink Day’ to raise funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year, students and staff rallied together to raise an incredible $2,200, which will be donated to the Ellie Fund. Way to go, HMS!
On Monday, East Elementary 3rd graders visited the Plimoth Patuxet Museums to learn about the Wampanoag people and 1600s colonial settlers. They explored a wetu, handled traditional tools, and saw a duck roasting over an open fire. In the 17th-century English Village, they toured Pilgrim homes and played games. The PTO proudly sponsored this hands-on history experience! Big thanks to East PTO @ptoeastelementary for sponsoring this enriching trip for our students!
Our Family and Consumer Science students are thrilled with their new sewing machines! These upgraded machines are helping them explore advanced features and take their designs to the next level. A huge thank you to the Hingham Education Foundation for this generous donation!

The Hingham Arts Walk was a fantastic success, with beautiful weather showcasing our talented arts programs. The Concert Band and Wind Ensemble kicked off the event, and the drama program previewed Hadestown: Teen Edition, running November 21-23. Thank you to everyone who supported and volunteered at this wonderful celebration!

The newly created HHS Travel Scholarship Fund will support students with financial circumstances enabling them to participate in a wide variety of school-sponsored trips. Breathe in, and breathe OUT. Last week, Hingham High School students took a refreshing break from their regular classes to participate in Get Out with Breathe Out Day, hosted by the Breathe Out Club, a student-led initiative that promotes mental health awareness and self-care. The club is advised by adjustment counselors Kevin Lalli and Jessica Hoguet.
This event focuses on the vital connection between outdoor activities, exercise, and self-care. Students enjoyed sports, creative activities, and relaxation in the great outdoors.
